A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
I apologize to all the men, women and youth of our Federation for the length of time between messages, but again thank you for your loyal support and dedication to our organization.
The new year beginning in January 2011 will again be challenging and changing. The economic situations for most of us have not lessened and some of the hurdles we will encounter have not become smaller, but your dedicated executive board and myself are determined to overcome any and all obstacles that should arise.
Our goal is to build a strong committed organization that you are and integral and vital part of, therefore your comments and constructive critiques are necessary and welcomed as well as your attendance at all meetings.
We now have a state of the art web site.
We are incorporated.
We are a certified 501-C4 organization in the eyes of the IRS.
We have literature for new and prospective members.
We are giving back to the members valuable prizes for attending state meetings and tournaments.
We have steadily increased tournaments payout's.
Moving forward we must keep our priorities in order. We must continue to fund our divisional team. We must renew efforts in the areas of Conservation, Youth, and Publicity. We must make our East and Central Districts grow as well as continuing to develop the West and add programs to enhance our image to the public, support our new tournament format for 2011 as it should exciting and rewarding. Your support in these efforts is paramount and keep in mind that no one of us is as smart as all of us.
Our goal to build this strong committed organization has not changed and will be re emphasized in the coming years. We must encourage more young men and women to embrace and join our organization.
I believe some exciting things will come from the new ownership of B.A.S.S. with 2011 being an exceptionally good and pivotal year catapulting us to new heights.
I am reminding all club Presidents that you are a member of the Board of Directors and you or your designee should represent your club at all state and district meetings.
Please invite a friend or relative to join B.A.S.S. and the Pa. Bass Federation Nation Inc. and by all means extend an invitation to past members to rejoin our organization.
Always remember our men and women and their families who serve in the Armed Forces and thank them for keeping us a free nation. as we enter the holidays and era of new leadership, lets all reemphasize our spirit of sportsmanship and friendship towards one another.
I will be meeting with the new owners in January and I am looking forward to a very informative and helpful meeting. I will be lobbying to better position our Federation to better benefit our anglers in programs and tournaments sponsored by B.A.S.S. and to enhance advancement beyond state levels. I am confident that we will have a lot of new information in place and ready for disemination by the March 6th State Meeting.
In closing, I am wishing you, your families, loved ones and friends a very Happy Holiday season and a prosperous and healthy New Year.
