State Tournament Director Chris Kimmel 3 Wildwood Bldg. Middletown, PA 17057 kimmel65@hotmail.com 724.875.1738
To All Federation Nation Members:
As we have just finished the second state tournament, I wanted to write a quick note of thanks to all the individuals that make the state tournaments possible. Without dedicated and willing individuals, the Pa Bass Federation Nation could not be successful. First, my tournament team of Kane Stein, Marc Strini, Ryan Buttermore, and Mark Kitta did a great job with the tournament meeting and weigh-in. On Saturday, we were able to complete the entire tournament weigh-in and the trophy presentations in less than 1.5 hours from the time the last boat checked-in.
On this tournament team, Mark Kitta volunteered his free time (did not fish in the tournament) to help with the entire tournament from take-off boat, setting up the weigh station, and helping with the weigh-in. Tom Malacki and Wayne Proctor picked up the trophies and made sure they were at the final weigh-in. Also, John Freeman and Nick Kitta did a lot of the little things on tournament day to help make it run smoothly.
Overall, I felt the tournament went really smooth. For the state classic, I promise that the federation will be purchasing better bags that don’t produce holes after two tournaments. We make you use the federation bags to help prevent fish kills and we cannot be passing out bags with holes. As tournament director, I will always be making slight changes to make things run more efficiently. Once again, I want to thank all 86 participants that participated in the tournament. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please contact me at 724-875-1738.
Sincerely,
Christopher M. Kimmel
Pa Bass Federation Nation
State Tournament Director
To All Federation Nation Members:
First, I want to apologize for having to cancel day two of the Mr. Bass tournament. It is a hard decision to make because I understand how much time and money is spent practicing and traveling to the tournament. When making this decision, I had to put safety over fishing. I could not live with myself if I put 50 boats out on unsafe water and someone got hurt or killed.
Next, I would like to thank the individuals that helped make this tournament possible. It is important that we have quality and willing people to make things run as smoothly as possible. Without these individuals, a successful tournament circuit would not take place. My tournament team made up of Kane Stein, Ralph Kimmel, and Doug Jewart did a great job of checking individuals in and did a quality job of weighing fish. Tom Malacki helped make the transition smooth and spend several hours on the phone helping make this transition. Wayne Proctor picked up the trophies and assisted in pretournament planning. Also, Josh Giran, Nick Kitta, Ryan Buttermore, John Freeman, Matt Grejda, and Harry Olechowicz did a lot of the little things on tournament day.
Overall, for the first tournament, I felt that things ran fairly smooth. There are a few things that I need to change to make it run even smoother. As you do something, you pick up little things that will make it run smoother. If you have any suggestions at any time, just drop me an email at kimmel65@hotmail.com.
Sincerely,
Christopher M. Kimmel

State Tournament Director
To All Federation Nation Members:
I am looking forward to the upcoming year and taking on the
job as Tournament Director. It should be an exciting year with a great schedule
for all members. Please bear with me as we head into this transitional period.
I am always open to suggestions. You can reach me anytime at kimmel65@hotmail.com. I would like to
thank Tom for his years as Tournament Director and for his help in making this
a smooth transition.
My ultimate goal is to create the best tournament circuit
with the best payouts.I am a firm
believer that when things run smoothly and the payouts are good, more people
will participate. There will be some minor changes to the tournaments this
year. I will be discussing these changes during an upcoming state meeting.
Hope that you have a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
